Given the controversy around environmental damage, something more ominous like "gasland" might be better.

The suffix is present both in "utopia" and "dystopia".

Bingo, thought it made a nice contrast with "Ecotopia."

The suffix is from the Greek topos (τόπος), meaning "place."
