Interesting that Low End Mac would cover Palm history. I ended up buying a Palm Pilot (and using/loving it) because I really wanted a Newton but couldn't afford it.

I did end up buying a Newton much later when they slashed prices after it was canceled, and while it was an excellent (and fun) device to play with, the Palm's size and battery life made it far more practical IRL.
