There have been so many times where I've visited a city and looked for interesting tech attractions, only to find out about something after I had already left. This is one of those places, not typically found on the tourist maps.

Not exactly next door, but 2.5 hours away is the Museum of Radio & Technology near the Ohio/WV/Kentucky border.
