The death of the corporate job. – by Alex McCann (thestillwandering.substack.com)

The "corporate job" can be understood as the automatic result of abandoning the perspective that managers must be subject-matter experts in order to be able to inspect work-product. In fact, they must know more than any of their subordinates, else accountability collapses, leaving a vacuum that is filled by pantomime.

Off topic, but: Is Alex McCann someone that I should know who they are, that adding their name to the title increases the credibility or click-through rate?

This reads like a fairy tale, is this true or just wishcasting? I mean if one person does it I guess it’s technically true but.
