Just as when everybody has fastpasses at the theme park, no-one ends up having them in practice. Instead you just end up with some even bigger losers (the people who now have to wait 4 hours per ride), and the company gets another piece of the pie with everybody paying extra just to get back to the 'normal' level of service.
