This right here. The system needs funding to work. The problem is conservative politicians repeatedly trying to make the system worse so they can privatize it.

Conservatives massively cut funding to public services, private insurance for healthcare also increased in that time and private premiums have also increased.
A conspiracy? Not at all, conservatives love to talk about cutting the budget and privatized industries like private schools. They fight public services practically every chance they get.
