The benefit of a touchscreen MBP is that Apple will be forced to make their screens more protective.

The least they could do is show subdomains, so that when you click on squarespace.com it doesn't take you to a virus. They will show https: but not subdomains? Excellent UI.

The URL they show doesn't even have to match anything about the actual URL you go to by clicking on the link. I've been burnt by that one before.

Have you ever seen a MacBook air's screen? Those use fractional scaling and look fine.

Take a language that is equidistant from english and chinese, like Malay, and translate that dataset into both languages. Then train a model and benchmark them. I suspect the differences would be irrelevant.

For 1, take a look at https://github.com/alex-903/zsh-mouse-and-flex-search. It runs as a zle-line-init hook, so it works in any terminal. A full terminal app implementation would be cleaner, however.

I recently switched back to a terminal-based workflow from Emacs, and I missed fast fuzzy command recall and mouse-friendly editing in the prompt. So I built a small zsh UI that brings Emacs-style flex matching to shell history, adds full mouse support for setting point and selecting results.
