This is vibe coded right?

It is AI assisted, but way less than one might think.

All the portability tricks are authored by me (I have previous repos from before the AI era that feature them).

The parsing structure is also authored by me (also have pre-AI proof).

What AI did here was the boring, mechanical work.

Just prompt it, all AI as of 2026 is clueless about wide portability shell scripts.

Nice telescope

You're going to make it drive an RC car right?

has this thread been removed from the top of hacker news?

Idk. I don't think either he nor reiser were ruby devs.

Cannon pixels are still pretty big. You could use an astronomy camera and some lens adapters to get better sampling.

For astronomy bigger pixels is also better.

It depends on sampling and sky conditions. My only point was that some astronomy cameras have smaller pixels (like 1.45um).

I had a design sketched out that would do sentiment analysis on each post in your social media feeds. It would then take action to hide or outright delete stuff based on your configuration.

It would probably work as a browser plugin, but I didn't have a real solution for rewriting whats on say the reddit or Twitter phone apps.

Probably pretty easy to vibe code up such a thing now.

Is this what the fp community calls referential transparency?

Very similar, referential transparency is the ability to replace a function call (or expression, generally) with its result (or value). So using an array (or other tabling mechanism) you can take advantage of this to trade off space for time.

It's meditation, but on the internet!

The next billion-dollar idea.

Valve failure often has nothing to do with diet. This is junk.

There are other cardiac failure modes too, for example electrical and hypertrophy.
