$350 windows box probably isn't silent like the MBA

I have the M1 MBA and M5 MBP. The wedge MBA feels noticeably thinner and the MBP feels kind of chonky in comparison. It's a bigger difference moving them one-handed than the specs would indicate.

Exactly this. And it makes sliding it in and out of bags and laptop sleeves so much easier.

I have an iPad 4 that is now a single purpose scorekeeper for darts

Would be good for all players to punch the score in on their own iPhone and see the score on the common iPad.

Or, to use an app on the comfy smaller pocketable hypothetical iPhone and to see on the paired iPad when wanting the luxury of a larger display

I did "not interested" & "This post makes me uncomfortable" for a solid month and now have a reliable feed of comedians, tacos, golden retrievers, classic jazz drummers, etc. The algorithm thought I turned Mexican and gave me exclusively Spanish content for a month but I just kind of went along with it.

I found that "not interested" didn't work for me, that I had to explicitly state what I was interested in and only then did my suggestions become relevant. It will at times revert to slop and then I have to go through the process all over again.

Regardless of merit, this seems like appropriate payback for having to make a new workday account for every single company you apply to a job.

Having done a lot of online applications in the last two years, I often just pass up companies that only have their application on Workday.

Workday is without question the most abominable of the online application systems available today.

Surely you haven't seen taleo.

I've made the L. reuteri "yogurt" from the BioGaia Gastrus tablets from amazon and it works well. First batch is a little watery but after that it pretty much looks like greek yogurt when I use half and half.

The salivarius / ruteiri culture is way more forgiving than that. Makes a firm, tart yogurt even with non fat milk, without having to add powdered milk.

That was my first thought - "Is this guy training for Jeopardy?"

He does link to someone who does 3k flashcards per day to prep for Jeopardy.

On a M1 MacBook Air with 8GB, I got this running Gemma 3n:

12.63 tok/sec • 860 tokens • 1.52s to first token

I'm amazed it works at all with such limited RAM

I have started a crowdfunding to get you a MacBook air with 16gb. You poor thing.

Y not meeee?

After considering my sarcasm for the last 5 minutes, I am doubling down. The government of the United States of America should enhance its higher IQ people by donating AI hardware to them immediately.

This is critical for global competitive economic power.

Send me my hardware US government

higher IQ people <-- well you have to prove that first, so let me ask you a test question to prove them: how can you mix collaboration and competition in society to produce the optimal productivity/conflict ratio ?

Up the ante with an M4 chip

not meaningfully different, m1 virtually as fast as m4

https://github.com/devMEremenko/XcodeBenchmark M4 is almost twice as fast as M1

In this table, M4 is also twice as fast as M4.

You're comparing across vanilla/Pro/Max tiers. within equivalent tier, M4 is almost 2x faster than M1

Twice the cost too.

?

Just wait for AppleCare One+

They should have gone with 360 first.
