This is pretty hilarious - when I asked ChatGPT to "summarize this article: https://archive.ph/hOYMn", it said it's about Jesus ("The article traces the development of early Christian Latin hymns, especially focusing on how themes about the Virgin Mary and Christ evolved from the 4th to later centuries..." (https://chatgpt.com/share/69d48476-9bf4-8327-8c19-709865a547...)

Sharing what an LLM has to say about a thing is like sharing what you dreamt of last night — no one really cares.

unless you dreamt how to debug that problem no-one else can solve

It works better if you said it came to you under the influence of heavy drugs

Why even have GPT summarize it? Just RTFA.

I like to consume content in a breadth-first way. Title -> Summary -> Maybe read it.

Interesting. If you look at the sources it cited, there are a few links about "Sacred Songs and Solos" (likely from related/side content on the page), my guess is it didn't read the main article and instead anchored on those and hallucinated

I wouldn't be surprised if the owner of that site has AI scraping protections enabled.

I've had this hypothesis that human bodies are kind of like cruise ships built by microbes. The larger body is not necessarily the one in control (like in the cruise ship metaphor). Maybe at some point, the vessel being built gains some control of its own - maybe this will happen with AI.

I've thought this myself. We sure do consume a lot of yeast-based foods. Entire industries created to cultivate the stuff.

I thought it would be an interesting story about how the bakers and beer makers are the actual illuminati, consciously working on behalf of the yeast which is our actual over-lords.

Ha. Different bug (sentient yogurt cultures) but sort of explored quite amusingly by Love, Death & Robots Season 1 - https://lovedeathrobots.fandom.com/wiki/When_the_Yogurt_Took...

Same, I think we are just a collective consciousness of the bacteria/yeasts inside us, and the brain is just a compute device, that the bacteria use via the high bandwidth vagus nerves. Thats why its important to not feed the bad bacteria and keep the good bacteria healthy.

But the bad bacteria know how to tell me what to eat. The good ones never do!

Are you saying the microbes have been telling me to stay up and vibe-autoresearch some random OSS projects? Wild if true.

Pixelmator Pro is great and affordable.

Came here to ask this - seems like the most important question.

I've still got my 12 mini. Just got a new battery replacement too. Back in my day, phones were cooler if they were smaller.

My iPhone 12 mini is hobbling along. A few rare apps are not usable because UI is clipped, the battery is throttling and making it sluggish, and it overheats all the time as a GPS.

Many mobile websites are unusable.

But I love the form factor and I'm going to keep it going as long as it is reasonably secure.

curious, did changing the battery make the phone faster under the latest OS?

If find that after the upgrade to the latest iOS my 13 mini has been struggling with framerate and just overall feeling laggy.

Liquid Glass has totally screwed up my 13 mini. Needing frequent soft reboots.

I just eBay'd a 12 mini after my camera started getting blurry. There isn't a viable flagship replacement.

This seems like a great idea. Tools like video editors (and CAD) often impose a big learning curve - there is a big differential between "I want to do X" and actually knowing all the right buttons to press to do X. Good luck.

appreciate your support!

Very cool idea. I think single-file HTML web apps are the most durable form of computer software. A few examples of Single-File Web Apps that I wrote are: https://fuzzygraph.com and https://hypervault.github.io/.
